Yo-yo berries

Since we are on the topic of christmas and cushion gifts, here's another idea.

What are these, you may ask.  Well, they are yo-yo berries of course!  You still don't know what they are?  Here's a closer look.

Don't you agree that red and green are perfect christmas colours?  And the ring of leaves remind you of a christmas garland?

But...but... you still don't know why they are called yo-yo berries.  Sigh, ok, listen carefully because this can get technical.

See those round red things encircling the garland?  They are called yo-yos.  There's a special technique in making these yo-yos and we even invested in a special device which helps to make the yo-yos more uniform and perfect.  These yo-yos are supposed to be berries that usually adorn christmas garlands.

Actually, what the heck!  Does it really matter what and why they are called?  You just need to appreciate the intricacies of these "masterpieces" (ahem).  Everything is handstitched.

No two are alike (if you don't believe, go check the composite photo for yourself).

I think these yo-yo berries would also make into lovely cushions and provides an option to those who prefer to give something more sophisticated christmas gifts (what can I say?  we think of everything).  Again, these would make into 16"X16" cushions (cushion included).
