My dog is a happy dog today. Riddled with guilt, I cuddled and hugged her like there's no tomorrow. I hoped to make it up to her - all those days of neglect, of forgotten dinners, of rushed walks.
Through it all, she was patient, understanding and uncomplaining. I love my dog.
